Can I wear red lipstick with smokey eyes? ?

I have a red dress for a holiday party and I think red lipstick would look really hot with it. I am normally a bit of an exhibitionist anyway and I like the over the top look but I don't want to go too much overboard. What do you think?Can I wear red lipstick with smokey eyes? ?
of course! just make sure its a deep red almost darker, and matte. or use lip gloss. For lip gloss, I recommend the Yves Saint Laurent lip gloss with real gold flecks in it to add shine. try a red gloss like Covergirl fruit spritzers lip gloss in Watermelon Splash. If you do red lipstick i would do a very precise line on top and bottom with a mocha colored liner and maybe this

well you should never overdo both your eyes and lips do one or the other. if you were too do the smoky eye then i would do a sheer tint gloss on the lips. but if you would do red lips then do only a very subtle shadow and mascara on your eyes. i think with a red dress the smoky eye would be better the red lipstick would be too much!
no that would be too much, you never want to do up more than one area of your face or body, if you do your eyes then do a more natural lip, if you want red lips play down the eyes
I THINK THAT LOOKS CUTE. IT'S CLASSY AND YOU CAN WEAR VERY LITTLE MAKE-UP WITH RED LIPSTICK AND STILL LOOK VINTAGE AND SEXY AT THE SAME TIME. IT WILL ALSO LOOK BEAUTIFUL WITH SMOKEY EYES.
i personally LIKE the black eye liner and red lipstick.... but only if the black eyeliner is thin and winged only on the top lid, looks hoottt lolol
