Come on, who actually believes Obama wasn't targeting Palin with his pig & lipstick comment?

The dude is a Harvard grad....Mr. Inuendo, Mr. ';Smart'; , Mr. ';the One';.....

I find it amazing that HYPODEMOcrats backing Hussein Obama try to defend an obvious zinger targeting the woman who is turning the election against Obama....just admit it!Come on, who actually believes Obama wasn't targeting Palin with his pig %26amp; lipstick comment?
I absolutely agree that is what he was doing. Anyone in their right mind would say away from using ';lipstick'; in anything they say, other then Palin. The media will take it and run with it.

McCain/Palin08Come on, who actually believes Obama wasn't targeting Palin with his pig %26amp; lipstick comment?
I do because he wasn't. Republicans are taking things out of context to deliberately spin it to mean something else.

Obama said: “John McCain says he’s about change too, and so I guess his whole angle is, ‘Watch out George Bush–except for economic policy, health care policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy, and Karl Rove-style politics–we’re really going to shake things up in Washington.’ That’s not change. That’s just calling something the same thing something different. You know you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig. You know you can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change, it’s still going to stink after eight years. We’ve had enough of the same old thing.”

Don't they teach critical thinking and logic is college anymore? How can people think he was talking about Palin here?
I believe he wasn't targeting Palin, that expression is as old as my granny, what I believe is this, he said it and if you pay close attention you'll see the OH $hit look come across his face.

You have to look at the whole thing to realize the context of what he was saying and how it was said.

True enough to someone who only say the comment it appears he is attacking Palin, but I believe it was a goof on his part and is essentially a non issue

McCain Palin

Experience we need
In Obama's own words ';Technically, had I meant it this way, she would be the lipstick.

The failed policies of John McCain would be the pig.';

And I do think he meant it that way.

I think it is naive to think he didn't mean there to be any connection to Palin's quote. But I do NOT think he was calling her a pig.

Both sides are making to much of this. One side screaming ';sexism'; - the other side saying ';Who? Me?';
Obama is a big joke and really against the things American people are working for. He does not like it that his big speech at the convention this time did not get the ratings. The production was not accepted by the people he thought he would get on his side and I am one that thinks McCain and Palin is the course the American people should follow. Obama changes would not put our country first. By the way who wears lipstick but the hockey moms and our Palin and any one who should figure that out really knows what he was referring to.
If McCain/Palin were insulted by that remark then how in heck are they going to handle World leaders like:

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev

Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin

Venezuela President Hugo Rafael Chávez

And who are they going to cry to, the U.N.? N.A.T.O.? O.P.E.C.?

Kieth Olberman nailed this one.
Honestly, as a McCain/Palin supporter... I don't think it was targeted directly at Palin... I believe that it was a stupid comment however and he knew what he was saying.. but I don't believe that it was directed soley at Palin... I think it was more towards McCain than anyone...

ADD: ';Even Bill O'Reilley says that it wasn't meant that way'; to add to this... even Glenn Beck said it wasn't meant for Palin.
Me. He wasn't. Was McCain talking about Hillary when he said it or health coverage? Was Cheney talking about someone when he said it, or policy? It is a common statement referring to pork. If you consider Palin a pig in lipstick, that's your problem.
I think the whining from the McCain campaign over the comment is even more sad than the comment itself.

How will they handle Putin, Chavez, or Ahmadinejab (who can throw more serious barbs than this) if they can't handle the comment by Obama?

John McCain is showing his true colors and how well he can lie!

If you heard what McCain has been saying and you still believe him, Then your either rich and do not care about the economy, health care and education or just can not see the truth.
I wanted to believe it was much ado about nothing, until I saw the clip of how he said it. I'm pretty convinced that he deliberately called Palin a pig just to get a rise out of his audience.
Practically everyone who's heard that expression before believes him. Just because Palin used the term ';lipstick'; in a speech doesn't mean that every time someone uses it they're talking about her.
This is all so stupid. Even Bill O'Reilley says that it wasn't meant that way.

Ok you will never know unless Obama comes out his mouth and say he was talking about Palin. Who cares! Palin compared herself to a dog!!!
I was open to giving him the benefit of the doubt -- until I saw him on Letterman/ No doubt he is a liar!
Who cares? This is just the latest way the Republicans are taking the focus off their outdated policies.
The metaphor is gender neutral and has been used by McCain against women such as Hillary Clinton in the past.
that was no accident.

democrat for mccain/palin 08
I don't care if he meant it or not. I think he made a great point either way.
I think people who try to be the thought police should themselves be dissected.
The same people that didn't believe it yesterday when you asked.
I find it funny that one side can use the phrase, but the other side can't. Sure, let's continue to fight over this petty bullshit...
I don't! Dems are full of excuses and live in denial and fear the truth like if it was bright light to a vampire.
If he wasn't, then he is a big airhead not worthy of our attention or vote...
Who cares about all this ';school yard'; stuff? Let's get back to the issues.
Oh he was. Nothing is by accident.
He Did it!

McCain/Palin 2008
I am with you 100%. He knew what he was saying. Didn't you people watch the audience's reaction? They knew too.
