Well, if lipstick all by itself could give you herpes, then the entire female population would be infected. So, technically, no, lipstick doesn't (cannot possibly) give you herpes.





That said, if someone who has herpes uses a lipstick, and then someone else who doesn't have herpes uses the same lipstick, the virus could be transferred. But the same can be said for a drinking glass, a straw, a toothbrush or anything else that might be shared.
